Azacitidine and Venclexta

After having been on Azacitidine for over 3 years, a couple of weeks ago my doctor added Venclexta with a short ramp-up .. 100mg..200mg..300mg..400mg. I am very curious about the experience people have had with this combination. How fast did you see results? Have there been any side effects?

Update on my AML.

Had another maintenance round of azacitidine, followed by another blood test to check if still all good. Saw my haematologist yesterday here in Jaen, Spain and he said how pleased he was with my results. Except for my platelets (down), bloods are near to normal as they can be.

Minor set back with last blood tests.

Because of my age (74), I am on azacitidine injections, plus thioguanine tablets. Delay further treatment a week for another blood test, to see if any improvement in my WBC, if not may bring forward my biopsy to check what my bone marrow is doing.

Azacitidine

anyone had Ruxo with Azacitidine? I have high risk MF which is unstable and tending towards AMF. Azacitidine sounds unpleasant and I'm not convinced that it's worth it.

My experience of AML.

I do have some side effects - arms ache for about 10 to 15 days after having the Azacitidine injections and my spine/shoulder blades ache. I do get tired some days. Most days I feel great.
