Starting Kesimpta

I was on Avonex for 18 years and went off a couple years ago , it just wasn't helping any longer. A year ago I tried Ocrevus but did not have a good experience with the infusion.

Post 682 Take responsibility for yourself 1 Sep 2020

The older drugs, Avonex, Beta seron\feron rebid, tecfidera copaaxone have a longer history but are less effective in reducing relapses rate. So “YOU might want to look at the two newer ones I mentioned. “YOU” are taking responsibility for yourself, so do your research.

How can you tell the difference between asthma and a chest infection?

Following on from the posts about antibiotics. I have looked at the useful information re: asthma and chest infections on the site and am still not sure where I am with it. I had an asthma flare up last week following a good spell and a decrease of Seretide 250 dosage to 1 puff 2 x per day alongside

Avonex at 65

Hi, I've been on Avonex for about 15 years. I retired this year at the age of 65 and through my insurance company got 3 months of Avonex. I am at the end of my last refill. My neurologist has me switching to every 2 weeks until it runs out. The problem is Medicare does not cover the drug.

Avonex vs Ocrevus

Does anyone use Avonex? I’m just wondering because I started Ocrevus but lost a lot of hair. Was wondering if some of you still use Avonex?

Vaccines FYI

For example, Copaxone, Rebif, Avonex, and Betaseron don't prevent you from building immunity, and they don't make you more likely to become sick from any vaccines.

Is this going to change my retirement plans?

I have been told by a specialist that I have COPD and asthma. I was never an asthmatic during my youth or working life. Three bouts of chest infections, bronchitis? Flu? I never even went to the dr with it, this over a long life is not much. Then suddenly I started.I had lived with a heavy smoker for

Nasonex

Hi there, just been prescribed this for Hay fever. It's a nasal spray and I'm worried it might affect my T. GP says it won't. Just wondered if anyone has had any problems with this?

WBC keeps getting lower, anyone else on Avonex have this happen?

I’ve been on Avonex for 9 years now. The last two lab tests my WBC has been low and the last one was the lowest yet at 3.1. The low end of normal for this lab is 4.0. I also have scleroderma and Sjögrens. Has this happened to anyone else on Avonex and is your doctor not concerned?

Do you see the possibilities around "YOU"?

The next year I believe Avonex then Copaxone came along. Rebif was next, it meant fewer needles so of course, I went for it as soon as it came on the market.

WBC not in normal range on last 2 tests

I have systemic scleroderma, Sjögrens and MS and I’ve been on Avonex for my MS for 9 years now. The last two lab tests my WBC has been low and the last one was the lowest yet at 3.1. The low end of normal for this lab is 4.0.
