Doctors "Best Interests" decision to stop treatment overturned by the courts.

Specialists at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, who were caring for the disabled 5-year-old, said further treatment would be futile because she would not recover from arteriovenous malformation.

VP Shunts rule

Since then I have had other operations to revise my Shunt and it has been discovered that I get hydrocephalus due to an unruptured AVM (arteriovenous malformation). Some of what you say in your post definitely sounds familiar to me. I also have nystagmus in both eyes.

Up and Coming Angiogram for AVM causing TN.

In 2011 I found out the cause of this was an Arteriovenous Malformation ( AVM ) on the brainstem. The only treatment option available to me was Gamma Knife which I had in March 2012. I've had yearly MRI's which have shown no changes in the AVM.

Hey there

Turns out I have an arteriovenous malformation in my brain (AVM), which is basically a nest of poorly developed blood vessels that can bleed at any time causing a stroke.

Update.... On Jo Dilks (user name Lesliedilks) Hi it's been a while.......

(My hemorrhagic stroke was caused by an Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs) a congenital malformation of blood vessels in the brain which can rupture into brain tissue as they get larger.) My rehabilitation was focussed around a Ischaemic stroke, which shows similar symptoms to hemorrhagic stroke.

AVM: Another valuable...minformation?

Then the doctors told me that I had an arteriovenous malformation in my brain, more specifically in my parietal lobe and close to my cerebellum. For those of you who don't know, an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is a blood vessel disorder formed at birth.

Anyone here with an AVM??

In March of last year I had a brain haemorrhage due to an arteriovenous malformation. Long story short it's a tangle of blood vessels in the brain that form at birth which has various weak spots that can burst.
