Aricept

He is now on Aricept, and I'm sure this will be my last trip for some time. That really isn't such a bad thing since I have long passed the age of 30, 40, or even 50. All that goes along with traveling is tiring, a bit more so than I remember!!

Treatment with cholinesterase inhibitors, rivastigmine, donepezil and galantamine (Exelon®, Aricept®, or Reminyl®) were also permitted. The study found that ANAVEX®2-73 was well tolerated in oral doses up to 50 mg once daily.

Does anyone have any knowledge of Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors such as Donepezil (also known as Aricept), rivastigmine (Exelon) and galantamine (Reminyl) and the other drug Memantine ?

Are folks combining an acetylcholinesterase with ADT (Lupron)? Is this being combined with transdermal or cream estradiol?

She is on Aricept from the memory clinic, which doesn't seem to have helped and Half Sinemet which has also made no difference. So that's me. I look forward to talking to you all and getting to know you. Thank you for letting me join x

He has started a new medication Aricept for dementia but that side effect is not listed. We told the MO and his office ran a urinalysis and bladder scan. There is no blood in urine but he did have an orchiectomy in March. We have a urologist appt but not until July.

Stop all drugs that aren’t intimately involved in keeping me alive or alleviating pain such as any dementia medications I may be taking (Namendia, Aricept, etc...), drugs for hypertension, lipidema, etc...

He asked if I would mind starting Aricept. As I had reviewed several studies of the effectiveness of Aricept use in early DLB, especially without overt concurrent signs of Alzheimer's, being quite a bit more effective than placebo without a great many side effects, I agreed.

My movement disorder specialist and I have decided to try Aricept. Does anyone have experience with Aricept and its effectiveness?

He is on the generic for aricept for memory now for almost 3 years. What concerns me is that I've been reading (which is probably a mistake) that aricept is for dementia associated with Alzheimer's, he is on th highest mg,but he has never been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

I go to a neurologist and only on Aricept two weeks. Is there anyone out there with any suggestions. I can drive but it tired to even shop for groceries. All,bloodwork came back good., ..?????? Polyanna007 Florida USA

I take levodopa 3 125 tabs 3 times a day. 10 mg Aricept per day. I just had Botox injections in my legs in October 2014 and will have more in January 2015 including my left shoulder, arm and hand.

My husband is taking Aricept, I don't know if it is making him more drowsy, he sleeps most of the day. Has anyone tried stopping it and if so any improvements?

It's Donepezil which is the generic for Aricept. He did say it has more side affects than the Namenda; didn't say what they were; also fine with me. Never experienced side affects from the Namenda.

He will start on Aricept today.I know it helped his Aunt when she started it several years ago so i hope he has good results with it. He has mostly non-motor symptoms which are hard to control since they are unpredictable and new one keep popping up.
