Trying alternative medicine for allergies (or do your allergy meds help enough?)
So I'm on sigulair, zyrtec and phenergan (both
antihistamines
). I'm in the U.S. and I know over there you tend to use generic names. Anyways, I've been trying acupuncture and Chinese herbs lately which seems to help some with the allergies where the
antihistamines
have failed.

Hayfever???
I left it a few weeks before seeing the doctor and she said I had no wheeze and my chest was clear so was prob just hayfever so gave me some
antihistamines
. I've never had hayfever before but I do have a blocked/runny nose so I suppose it could be.

How do you make a diagnosis?
Since I'll be going home for Christmas, longer than a weekend, I thought this time I'll go to the doctor and see if she can give me some stronger
antihistamines
since the over the counter ones aren't particularly effective.

My path through the minefield too diagnosis.
Hi all As a child as far as I can remember I didn't really catch all the colds and bugs my siblings caught. Always had severe reactions to insect bites and stings. Always suffered with abdominal pain and problems with stomach. Into teenage years repeatedly suffered migraines, tonsilitus, glandular

I am the one and only
I got no useful information from him but we agreed on a treatment plan:
antihistamines
(fail) and steroids. A 15mg steroid dose yesterday and today have calmed things down which tells me it's an allergy. I'll see my own GP tomorrow and speak to my rheumy team but I'm not taking Plaquenil again.

Holiday tribulations
hi thought I'd share my holiday tribulations. We're in a lovely one storey cottage on the island of Arran. Everything carefully chosen so as not to cause problems, a fabulous view everything just wonderful. Including unfortunately for me, the weather! Now I know that the methotrexate makes me photosensitive
