PSA after 4-5 months on Lupron (Scholz)?
Just watched a Scholz (PCRI) video posted last week about PSA. He said multiple times that PSA should reach a nadir of <0.1 after 4-5 months on 1st generation ADT and that if it didn't "[i]something's wrong, that is an unusual type of prostate cancer that has some hormone resistance and studies over

ART TET Testosterone and the Prostate; the Myth
Amazing; this is a five year old podcast that talks about testosterone and the prostate. It also addresses what it calls; “The myth,” that testosterone is counter indicated for prostate cancer patients, both on active surveillance or in recovery. I continue to be amazed that this information has been

I am being offered to enter a trial for zenocutuzumab
Has anyone else been registered into this? My PSA has remained constant at ,01 for about a year. My last scans show in my MO's words, very minimal growth. I have the papers to sign in front of me, they want to get the pre-tests done this coming week before treatment begins. WHAT SAY YOU ALL??

Almost forgot I have PC
I have been off the grid for a while. Back in late November, I started having bladder problems including bleeding, urgency, frequency and incontinence. In December I was diagnosed with stage 3/b bladder cancer. In late January I had open Cystectomy and was in the hospital for 10 days. My MO put my PC

Update
Hi All! I've been keeping up reading your posts and just want you all to know that I include you in my prayers daily. Time for an update. Brian's PSA on Jevtana has stayed relatively stable in the mid 30's. His last 3 scans have shown no growth. The doctors are very encouraged. BUT since he's

Xtandi (enzalutamide) alone is superior to ADT alone at preventing metastases in "high-risk" recurrent men
"High-Risk"recurrence was defined as men who have had primary therapy (prostatectomy or radiation) but have had rising PSA but no detectable (on bone scan/CT) metastases yet and T≥150 ng/dl, and: • PSA doubling time ≤ 9 months, or • PSA≥ 1 ng/ml post-prostatectomy, or • PSA≥ nadir+2 ng/ml post-primary

Low T
My husband has been on "vacation" from ADT, zytiga and prednisone for a year. His PSA is tested every 3 months. Today's number is still <0.1 ng/ml. However, his T was slowly building...17, 24, 42 and now dropping to 34. Should I be worried?

Off Abiraterone ?
When I started chemo Abiraterone was discontinued. A recent post suggested that lowering T is even more important if castrate resistant. So why was Abiraterone discontinued? I have an infusion and appointment with substitute MO tomorrow and will try to remember to ask this but would like the opinion

Referral in Buffalo NY
I had a call from a coworker located in Buffalo NY. He has not yet been diagnosed with PCA but his PSA has doubled from 3 to 6.0 in the past 6 months. I am just wondering if anybody in the Buffalo area has an Oncologist/Urologist that they would recommend. Thank You for any suggestions

Additional Drug Choice
I started my ADT treatment with Eligard and Xtandi but had to change due to the cardiovascular side effects. I have been on Orgovyx alone for 10 months. My PSA is undetectable and my testosterone is 13. The drug is doing what it should. Side effects are hot flashes, fatigue, weight gain, and muscle loss

Mr. Spouse 21 is on rewind: Stable again!
The prompt says: "Tell Your Story." Well, it's my husband's story almost identical to 5 months ago, 3 months before that, and multiple months before that, so I'm repeating the posting from 5 months ago below. He's stable again with nearly identical numbers. ALP 38, PSA 0.10. He was a Gleason 9 now in

NEXT STEPS...
My husband is almost 8 years out from RP with Stage 3A, Gleason 4+3 (small amount tertiary 5). No follow up treatments so far. PSA returned at .027 after 43 months undetectable. Has been slowly rising and officially BCR at 6 years post surgery. Had PSMA scan in January which showed one pelvic wall

BAT question. A little worried about results.
I was on Xtandi as part of a clinical trial at NIH and after 2 years my PSA started climbing and PSMA scan showed metastasis in abdominal lymph nodes and supraclavicular node. Biopsy of the abdominal nodes wasn’t possible but biopsy of the supraclavicular node was inconclusive. However , this knocked

No more PSA tests until 6 months post radiation?
Hi all, it has been a while since i've posted but have been following the posts pretty much daily. I hope all is going well. I am just posting on behalf of my father today. He did ask this PSA question to his team and they told him that this is the standard practice. So.. they may be right but I of course

Post Xofigo, where do we go from here?
I've finished all 6 rounds of Xofigo in December. My ALP dropped to the lowest in 2 years, bone scans have shown stable but active disease, MRI the same. However my PSA has bounced around from the mid 40"s to 70 and the last 2 jumping to 124 and 144 respectively.I've been told that the PSA jump following

Systemic Inflammation Score [SIS] & PCa Survival
New paper below [1]. Over the years, I have posted PCa studies on inflammation markers. The Systemic Inflammation Score [SIS] hasn't been used in a PCa study until now. In essence, almost any marker of inflammation, or combination thereof, can be used to determine how bad one's subclinical inflammation

Testosterone return?
I had my last Lupron injection 6/14/22 after 18 months of ADT and Radiation. PSA at the end of December was <.03 and testosterone was<3. My question is can I expect to return any time soon? My age is 75 and I am physically fit I am doing 5 or 6 miles walking everyday. Do they ever boost ones testosterone

The old vegan vs other nutritional diet comparison persists
I have been following a strict vegan diet program since 2015. I began to hopefully slow or reverse my diagnosed heart disease. Did the conversion help with either? Who knows? It is, I believe, not something that can be definitely proven. But, I believe it has helped, so I’m content with the change. But
