ADT Hot Flashes
I've been on ADT since Feb, 2023 maintaining everything ok, play Water Polo 4x a week for 2 hours - master water polo team and lift weights - but in the last few weeks the hot flashes are crazy strong. One minute I'm doing great and then 30 seconds later sweating bullets. I work from home thank god,

Minimum PSA for GA-68 PSMA Scan
My PSA rose, but only a very minimal amount. I have been on Eligard and abiraterone for five years and my PSA has always been <.05 ng/ml and my last test came back .05 ng/ml with all PSA tests performed at the same lab. My new oncologist wants me to have a GA-68 PSMA scan which seems premature on

Help! Need feedback on Pluvicto recommendation
Quick recap - asymptomatic hubby was diagnosed with StageIVb last summer. No mutations but was already in soft tissue of brain, lungs and bones. Stereotactic radiation last July took care of two brain tumors. He has responded extremely well to triple therapy (Lupron, Zytiga, and Docetaxal). It took

Where to go after Lutetium 177?
Spouse has had a wonderful run on Lu177. Is now about to get his final infusion this week. PSA was dropping fast (down to 185) up until the supply issues struck; he missed one complete cycle which was stuck on the end. Since then, PSA has dropped to around 345 at the 5 week mark following the infusion

Biotin
Hello: I understand, have read, you should stop taking any supplemental Biotin anywhere from 2-4 days before a PSA test as it may skew/change the results; my question is, outside changing PSA test results, does Biotin do anything to the PCa you already have, good, or bad; is it safe to supplement Biotin

Running out of road....
... I've got a consultation with my oncologist tomorrow. I've huge respect for him - he's been with me throughout this 'journey' from initial diagnosis 14 yrs ago. But, he tends to follow SOC (although will support me in straying from the path. I'd welcome some suggestions before I talk to him. My situation

Finished 6 pluvicto in May. PSA started at 15 ended at 35. Bone scans at end say many Mets to bone. I particularly felt very winded towards end of pluvicto treatments. I was walking 3-5 miles until April then achiness in femur, and loss off breath. MO had me scheduled to start xofigo 3 weeks ago but

Survival outcomes and prognostic factors for first-line abiraterone acetate or enzalutamide in patients with metastatic CRPC
Patients with mCRPC who received first-line ARATs had better survival if they had a PSA nadir≦2 ng/mL or a TTN≧7 months. Further study is needed to determine if an early switch in therapy for those in whom neither is achieved may impact OS. https://bmccancer.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12885

No Increase in Major Cardiac Events With Testosterone-Replacement Therapy, MedPage Today, June 16, 2023.
This is a post I started a week ago - and Patrick's post earlier today on Supraphysiological Androgens effects on tumor suppression has given me the impetus to complete it. It is based on a MedPage Today article on the TRAVERS trial that seems to debunk most of the former concerns over cardiac issues

Should I have RT, given the possible permanent SEs
I had an RP in 2015, and was clear until diagnosed in Dec 2022 with metastatic Pc, PSA .61. Started Bicalutamide and have had 2 Zoladex injections . PSA is now.01. My OC now wants to start RT with 33 sessions. I want to know if I can avoid RT altogether, because of the damage and side effects that might

Intake question MSKCC
I had a RP/PND 5 years ago at MSKCC (Dr. Touijer). I had called up cold and was given an appointment for an MRI, followed by a TRUS biopsy (Dr. Ehdaie); everything followed from there. Now, my twin brother presents with an elevated PSA, and wants to be evaluated at MSK. He calls and is told they will

OVM 200 clinical trial on TV
https://www.newscientist.com/article/2375922-advancing-immunology-the-future-of-vaccine-innovations/ at 6.25 mins is a bit of info about the trial I volunteered for. The ‘shout out’ is for ovarian cancers so I may not have had an immune response but I have heard nothing formally except last weeks scans

51 yo recently diagnosed
I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. I am 51 with no family history. PSA 20, 2 lesions on MRI, and biopsy showed one was 3/4 and the other 4/3. I am pretty much exclusively bottom. I read here about how gay men should not get a prostatectomy. Whatever little information I have read seem
