Still Hangin in There
Hi everyone. 9+ years on (take a peek at my bio.) Stage IV pca. I'm still hormone sensitive with undetectable PSA. Living life and enjoying my time with friends and family. In November I will enter year 2 of multiple myeloma DX. Have been through induction but not needing a stem cell transplant

PSA Increase after stopping Xgeva.
I’ve been on Abi for an about a year and Lupron for over two years. I stopped getting Xgeva shots due to side effects and the fact that the worst number on my Dexa scan was -.1. Soon after I stopped the Psa and alp both started to rise very slowly. Anyone experience this? MO is already talking chemo

looking at the big picture??
my husband MO was very pleased with Gary’s last PSMA SCAN, looks better then the one done in February 2023. No Mets in bones, lungs, kidneys any major organs, we are so grateful to God and the people that he has used to help Pc patients. We have been conditioned to look at PSA as the one factor to

PSA 10.7 to 4.5 3 weeks later 45yo
3 weeks ago I had a PSA test added to my annual physical blood work. I'm very healthy and no sypmtoms. Came back at a shocking 10.7. My primary doc called me on Saturday to tell me to get an appt with urologist asap. Had an elevated WBC too. Was able to get in to see the urologist's assistant that Monday

Olaparib May Be Effective Without Hormone Therapy in Some Men With Biochemically Recurrent Prostate Cancer
quite a large sub group of men with recurrent prostate cancer were able to put off psa rises and put off mets developing and reduce psa with no hornone treatment just Olaparib - LYNPARZA in short, the responders, who can be tested by gene typing, had median time of almost 4 years without adt vs the

Second scan -- now what?
After a year the second scan produced the following impression from the radiologist, "1. Marked improvement in radiotracer avid osteoblastic metastasis and marked improvement in radiotracer avid nodal metastasis. Radiotracer avid disease in the prostate has also markedly improved." Bear in mind that

A question for anyone who has taken Orgovyx?
In the most strange and odd turn of events... Question: If I start Orgovxy for the first time while in Mumbai, India, how likely am I to run into real trouble with adverse effects if I plan on starting around 9/9 and returning to America 9/20. Let me back up. You see that my icon is a gemstone. Well

Seems like options are narrowing, anyone else in similar condition?
Hello! My husband and I are waiting for his first Jevtana infusion. We learned today that his PSA jumped from 1.9 a month ago to 3.55 today (not had a high jump like that maybe ever?). Also learned he is castrate resistant. NP says Jevtana is the ‘med’ for this….sounds like his life is hinged on

Why is my PSA so low?
For about 9 years after my last HIFU, my PSA hovered in the 1.0 - 2.0 range, and testosterone around 200 or so. That's what they were in July 2023. But in January 2024, PSA plunged to 0.248 (T wasn't measured then). In early March, PSA continued down to 0.148, and testosterone crashed to 60, and free

Post IMRT PSA Check
Hello, I went for my 6 month PSA check today. This is my 3rd check since IMRT was completed in May 2023. Prior to IMRT, I was at 4.31. The next 3 results were 2.12; 1.12 and today's 1.15. So I know its gone up 0.03 this time. I'm aware there are bumps along the way as explained by my medical team and

I'm happy to have advanced prostate cancer.
...well, rather than having brain cancer, or lung cancer or pancreatic cancer... In contrast, CaP is the one to choose. Oh.... we didn't choose? Most likely it was Dow Chemical (or one of the other 9 entities that produced 2-4-5-T (Agent Orange) that gave this to me. Nope, no military. I was drafted

Good news after SBRT
My last PSMA pet showed an 8mm prostate tumor in my left lung. My PSA before the radiation was 1.06. 2 weeks after radiation the PSA is <.06. I'm seeing my MO tomorrow to see if he will continue to hold off on ADT. Any suggestion/recommendations? Thanks

optimal curative therapy?
Very fortunate still to have a chance for cure — Gleason 9 with post surgery LN involvement, but no distant mets detected. Received RT and about half way through a 2-year course of Lupron. PSA undetectable; tolerable SEs. Would adding Abiraterone or Apalutamide now maximize chance of cure or is it better
