Anakinra

Slowly reducing and Anakinra... daily biologic. It's an actual syringe job so it's as well I'm a vet and used to giving injections. It's worse injecting yourself but I'll get on with it. Fingers crossed I'll be a new woman in the new year. 🙌

I was wondering if anyone has tried Anakinra? What is it like? I was on Tocilizumab but have just been taken off this due to very low WBC and very low neutrophils. I'm really nervous as I struggle doing one injection a week as I have a panic attack every week.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone suffering specifically with Pericarditis and/or Myocarditis has ever been prescribed either Azathioprine or Anakinra and if you have did it cure your condition? Thanks

My wife was immediately put on Anakinra otherwise known as Kineret which is an IR1 blockade. The next part of the story can only be described as a miracle. Within 72 hours her rash had gone and her whole body peeled its skin like a snake.

When I mention the anakinra now to the consultant all he keeps saying is we don't know if we can get funding and it's got lots of side effects, can get infections so easy.

Anakinra is sometimes used in difficult-to-treat Sweet's syndrome when most other treatments have failed. Has anyone been treated with anakinra, and did it work for you? Thanks.

they have said im doing so well at mo because of sll the steroids ive had but they are now trying to cut them down but will another 12 weeks so its hard cos while i feel good they said i good go right back to hardly walking or being able dress meself so they are talking bout applying for funding for anakinra

Hi My daughter has adult onset stills ..diagnosed November last year.she has been quite unwell and had everything given to her under the sun.she is now on anakinra inj ,methatrexate,and steroids and boatload of analgesics.she has suffered with the pain in her left hip since diagnosis and I have watched

We hoped that this and her anakinra and methatrexate injections would sort her out. Unfortunately the hospital didn't inform us that she had a strep throat before we went.daughter went into a complete flare.

Also big red wheals at injection site for anakinra..any one else been on this with this side effect?
