Anagrelide problems
Hello everyoneFor the last 6 weeks I've been taking
Anagrelide
for ET. Since I've started the
Anagrelide
my legs and ankles have swollen up. Has anybody else had thus experience with A? Is it a common side effect, and is it likely to get better or worse?

Frequent traveler dealing with ET and concerns
I started with
Anagrelide
and found it did not work for me since I developed heart racing. Therefore, I was put onto Interferon. Though it worked, I found dealing with health insurance and taking the vaccines onto planes quite difficult since I am a frequent traveler.

Response to sunscreen question.
After further discussion he said he was happy to prescribe it if that is what I wanted but felt that
Anagrelide
would be better as it is platelet specific (I have ET) and would not effect my hair.

Anagrelide side effects
Hi everyoneI've been taking
Anagrelide
for 6 weeks now and I'm putting on a lot of weight suddenly, especially in my face. Plus a thumping heart sometimes. Does anyone know if these side effects lessen with time?

Erythromelalgia?
I came off
Anagrelide
just after this started as I’m starting new treatment shortly, probably peg interferon.

Can stress or worries make a big difference in FBC numbers?
During the past year she has been on
anagrelide
3 a day, hydroxy 3 a week keeping her platelets at or around 250 white cells at or around 40 though over the past 8 months her Hgb keeps dropping to a point where she has iron infusions and or packed red cell transfusions.

Hair Loss on Hydrea
I too loss lots of hair while taking Hydrea, then
Anagrelide
, and finally Jakafi. After starting to an MPN Specialist almost 2 yrs ago & switching to Pegasys, my hair is coming back in. My hair dresser is amazed at how much regrowth I’ve had.

Peg reduction
I started 90 units a week with 16 Hydroxicarbomide. ( I dropped the weekly 9
anagrelide
) It then went to weekly minus the Hydroxicarbomide. Every 10 days, every 14 days, 17, 21,25, now I’m on 28 days. Not sure how it will work.

I've discussed with my consultant and I'm planning on changing medication to
Anagrelide
or Interferon, for this reason. Hope I'm making the right decision!

Relief for Liver?
My Hemo doctor said it was now time to raise dose of
anagrelide
and get platelets down farther. After two weeks at 3 mg per day with 8 hours between each mg, my liver enzymes took off higher than ever before and she told me to stop the
anagrelide
and see liver specialist.

BMB results
She also said it could be the
Anagrelide
that was causing the fibrosis and anaemia! I’ve still got a lot of pain from the bmb where they caught the nerves, very painful getting in and out of bed, and hard to get comfortable in bed. Better when I’m moving about.

Besremi trial
We are a site that's participating in the SURPASS study, that's the registration phase 3 study of ropeginterferon alfa-2b versus
anagrelide
in ET patients who've been previously treated with hydroxyurea.

Change of medicatuon
My consultant is now going to add
Anagrelide
to my existing medication, with a view to reducing or phasing out the Hydrocarbamide if all goes well. Does anyone have any experience of this, or how well it's likely to work? I'd appreciate any comments. Thank You!
