Anagrelide side effects

Hi everyoneI've been taking Anagrelide for 6 weeks now and I'm putting on a lot of weight suddenly, especially in my face. Plus a thumping heart sometimes. Does anyone know if these side effects lessen with time?

Both symptoms you listed are known side effects from anagrelide. This source notes these adverse effects as something to notify your doctor about immediately.

I am not familiar with PPARγ agonists. The article is intriguing regarding implications for MF and perhaps other MPNs. Please do let us know anything you learn abut these medications.

I’ve been on Anagrelide for a few years, I got quite a lot of palpitations at first but they gradually faded. If I get them now it’s around 2 hours after I take the capsules. Platelets now in normal levels, however keep an eye on other counts, I’m very anaemic and am now pre-mf possibly partially caused by the Anagrelide. Wishing you all the best.

I’ve been on ana for almost two years and had scary heart palpitations for a few weeks. Completely gone now! Didn’t experience weight gain though but that might also fade as your body gets used to it… Hope it works out. Ps I will switch to Peg in about 6 months because of the better long-term prospects

Yes the side effects do die down....I had terrible heart palpitations at first....now I don't have them. Still get ET side effects, tiredness, headaches etc

Keep going with the meds to give it a chance
