A limited benefit of alpelisib was noted in patients with the MYC mutation compared with placebo.

I have the PIK3CA mutation and have recently started taking Alpelisib. I’d love to hear from anyone else living in Australia who is also on this drug. Thanks so much!

I have a PIK3CA mutation - so 1st of June I started on Piqray (alpelisib) and fulvestrant injections (ER strongly +, PR-, HER2-). Now by day 9/10, I've got a pretty decent rash over much of my body. A known side effect. It doesn't itch really, but its pretty extensive.

After my last meeting with the Professor, he suggested we try "high dose aspirin" in combination with alpelisib if we can access the latter. In the mean time I've started on 500mg a day (Disprin) and follow up with the man on Friday.

Most notably, the clinical efficacy of alpelisib in combination with fulvestrant for the FoundationOne Liquid CDx-positive population was demonstrated with an estimated 54% risk reduction in disease progression or death in the alpelisib plus fulvestrant arm compared to the placebo plus fulvestrant arm

I am also still considering Genomic testing as wondered whether alpelisib may be a good treatment option but I haven’t been offered this. Any comments would be welcome. Happy Sunday. Jo xx

So now I am to take Fulvestrant and Alpelisib( as the genetic testing I had done in December showed I have the PI3K mutation. This is The Snallygaster. He has limited sight in his "good" eye and has the soul of an old wise one.

I got the results of my scans and there is progression on new sites of my bones like spine my oncologist said is diffuse and tiny Verzenio did not work for me My oncologist said that there is a new medication just approved by FDA called Alpelisib, He will prescribed but we do not know if the insurance

It is a combination of Fulvestrant plus Alpelisib. It was just approved by the FDA this past May. I am continuing with Ibrance as long as it works. Blessings, Hannah

These results, assessed after a median follow-up of 20 months, translated into a 35% reduction in the risk of progression or death in favor of Faslodex/Alpelisib arm. (There was no advantage to providing Alpelisib in patients without a PIK3CA mutation).
