Whew, quite the month
Thankfully, I was already taking
Advair
(which I think is Seretide in the UK? I'm Canadian) so I didn't have to wait for that to kick in. Now on top of that, I'm using Alvesco (which I think is the same name in the UK) until the cough improves (it still hurts to cough and breathe.

Follow-up after seeing doctor
Hello!! Quick little note to let you know I saw my doctor this morning. She is wonderful and knows so much about Hep C....I am very lucky. She said that I would be fine to continue with the Advil and the patches. As long as they work for me and I don't take too much Advil, just the minimum, I should

Does anyone else get this?
Seretide is
Advair
in the US I believe? Flovent is the Fluticasone or Flixotide steriod element. Atrovent is a brand name for ipratropium. Anyway, it seems you are seeing your doctor about this but perhaps best go back and maybe see another.

Asthma med and high blood pressure
Hi all, Has anyone had any raised blood pressure problems from asthma meds, I have read that LABAs (salmeterol, seretide,
advair
, symbicort, oxis, formeterol) can raise blood pressure. It would be good to know if anyone has a problem with this. Cheers RI

My friends in the states recommend I ask about
Advair
(seretide)- Is it worth switching to see if the different drugs work any better?

Feel like I failed because I'm on pred. AGAIN
I went up on
advair
250 when this first started (which for some reason was giving me way more heart issues than usual), so I requested to switch to flovent 220, but then was still having trouble so added taking atrovent 4x a day (to avoid levabuterol as it also makes my heart race for hours).

Bad attack....seems like a good place to find people who understand
Right now I'm on
advair
230/21, alvesco 160, and singulair, plus a handfull of allergy meds. I also take xopenex. How do you guys deal with the uncertainty of when you might have an attack, or in another way...the certainty that you WILL have an attack. I find it kind of depressing sometimes. Bee

Question about asthma symptom...
Then he tried to lower my dose of
advair
/inhaled steroids, and every time I go down a dose same thing happens...coughing up mucus. Is this a common asthma symptom? I find that if I'm on the meds, that mostly this never happens if that makes sense. Bee
