Just received Adenocarcinoma diagnosis
Hi all you good people. I received my diagnosis on Friday. Waiting for guided CT biopsy to determine treatment plan From my research I think this might mean grading and staging? They said it would be drug treatment - no mention of an operation. Nurse also mentioned books about pallitive care to help

Does a pathologist know if adenocarcinoma is neuroendocrine by looking at the initial biopsy or is this something that is discovered later?
My initial post said that our path report said neuroendocrine and what it actually said was
Adenocarcinoma
. Sorry for the confusion you all are beyond wonderful in your efforts to educate those of us who are facing the steep learning curve! Thank you all!đź’›

Recurrence generic testing
I was wondering why after right middle lung lobectomy for early stage
adenocarcinoma
they did not do genetic testing? Seems it would be better to know what paths to take if it recurs. Wouldn’t it be better to know before and not have to wait for these results then? Should I feel short changed?

Surgery scheduled
The plan is for VAT surgery, right upper lobectomy to remove the nodule with
adenocarcinoma
and mediastinal lymph node dissection. And now we wait... Any recommendations for this prep time? Thank you.

Trying to figure out an inscrutable doctor
My husband's had mixed ductal/
adenocarcinoma
, initial staging T2, never had a high PSA, brachyherapy and external beam radiation, and his PSA went down to .5, then slightly up to 1.2 then down, then slightly up to 1.2. 2 years ago, his CT/MRI and Bone scans showed no migration of cancer.

Loss of PTEN
Lymph node tumor biopsy revealed
adenocarcinoma
, no NE. Genetic profiling revealed loss of PTEN. No other mutations. My question is, what else can I be doing in regards to the PTEN?

Farewell to our dear friend Anita
If you have EGFR+
adenocarcinoma
you may know her as one of the founding members of the EGFR Resisters. She was part of the driving force that put the EGFR Resisters into a partnership with the (then) Addario Lung Cancer Foundation.

Biopsies revealed
adenocarcinoma
In right transition zone, all other areas normal. Pathology also indicated perinueral invasion . Gleason score 4+3=7 . What would be the most logical direction of treatment ?

Low-serum testosterone and high-chromogranin A are associated with high-grade prostate cancer and higher pathological stages of the disease.
"The principal findings of this investigation were that low testosterone is correlated with elevated CgA levels, and these two parameters are associated with more aggressive grades and higher pathological stages of prostatic
adenocarcinoma
."

Advice on an MO at Johns Hopkins?
I was diagnosed at 62 years old with G9
adenocarcinoma
(4+5 in 2 cores, the rest G7, one G6) in January, 2019, after three months of antibiotic treatment for suspected prostatitis. In otherwise good health and physical condition. PSA 9.2 at diagnosis, up from 7.6 three months earlier.
