A Rare Case of the Hyperplastic Sweet Syndrome, 2023.

SKIN LESION:

"A canary yellow hyperplastic plaque about 5 cm × 6 cm lies on the left elbow joint..."

SKIN BIOPSY:

- A dense dermal neutrophilic infiltrate and dermal oedema (lots of white blood cells called neutrophils in the tissues and fluid in the dermal skin layer).

- Also, epidermal papillomatous hyperplasia (in epidermal hyperplasia, heightened cell production in the skin leads to skin lesions/growths. Papillomatous - bumpy or outward growths, or biopsy showing irregular surface folding). ijpmonline.org/article.asp?...
