There is some misinformation on the internet in regards to this question, and some people have suggested that Sweet's syndrome affects as few as 1 person per million. This is untrue.

Unfortunately, there are still no official global statistics to tell us how many people have Sweet’s syndrome, and figures obtained via medical case-studies vary a lot.
