One of my dearest friends was recently diagnosed with depression and anorexia. I'm a bit stuck for what to do and what to say as I've never been in this situation before, and it's hard to know how to help. Thing is, she's very prone to being offended by things I word wrong. However, this is the one thing I need to get right. Her life could be in the balance. Please help

Hello, im just joined this forum. Would say catagorically not to mention her ED as this will make her feel embarrassed. Just talk to her about how she is and talk normally as friends do about the General things you are both going through. I have suffered from EDs in the past and find it very hard when one particular friend comments on my limited diet and eating habits and seems to be judging me. Everyone has problems to an extent but you would not say anything about other mental health unless the friend wished to raise it. So the same goes for ED.
Good luck and all the best to you and your friend x
