Hello Everyone. Happy JUNE !
Here I am again and wishing you all a very Happy New Month.
I am here with my yoga mat today... it is sunny and warm-ish....there is currently not a cloud in the sky.
Perfect for putting out this link to this month's YOGA with Adriene... which is called Getting to Know.
Adriene is asking the questions... " When is the last time you truly reflected on the inner workings of your heart?
When you come to the mat to practice, have you contemplated your why?"
Well, I have got my mat out... and I shall be trying very hard to keep on the mat with this throughout June! Maybe too , I shall finish the month with some answers to those questions!
Today the session was really lovely and was indeed all about LOVE...mostly loving ourselves...something many of us find, really hard to do
Now, I know Yoga is not for everyone and there are other ways to do this. other than with Adriene and we would love to hear from you... if you are hoping to do this or are doing your own thing!
My good friend Bluebirdrunner is a superb role model for Yoga and its benefits as is our own awesome MissUnderstanding .... they both incorporate this into their exercise routines!
We have had a few posts here about Yoga and the way it can impact our lives, both mentally and physically and for me right now... I shall be using it as a really good way to relax...
The benefits are too many to list... but include..
* increased flexibility.
* increased muscle strength and tone.
* improved respiration, energy and vitality.
* maintaining a balanced metabolism.
* cardio and circulatory health.
* improved athletic performance.
*protection from injury.
Well ...just WOW!!!!
As always.. this is a choice...but, if you have never given Yoga a try... maybe now is the time to do so!
