Today’s exercise 29, The Boomerang, is challenging, yet I find it super fun! Maybe because I like the idea of a boomerang? Or just rocking around? I don’t really know… It combines Rolling like a Ball (exercise 5, Rolling Back) with a bit of a Teaser and some Roll-Over.

Andrea Maida writes about today’s exercise together with tomorrow’s because they’re all getting us rolling (again): “Pilates builds integrity in motion and 3 rolling exercises in a row really puts that to the test. Each of the 3 has their own rhythm and shape to the body. In the midst of tackling these exercises you can clearly see when you are a rolling stone and when you’re not. By the time you get to The Crab you can challenge yourself to be a solid rolling machine.” (pilatesandrea.com/on-the-or...

As always, if you need to warm-up, do at least The Hundred, maybe all of the previous 28 exercises. Then repeat this exercise 6 times alternating the cross of the legs.

Follow Joe’s instructions from the excerpt from Return to Life. And make sure to modify to ensure your body gets what you need today.

Just wanted to show hubby the original video of Joe Pilates doing the boomerang, but I cannot find the link in the post anymore. I had it in my YouTube history, though. So maybe it was in a different post. But here again, just in case it’s of interest to others:
