The 24th exercise for March 23 gets us swimming! No, don’t worry, you won’t need a pool… We’ll be doing it on our trusted mat. Andrea Maida points out: “And now we bend the other way…oh and let’s do it one side at a time while we’re at it, cause we’ve been here before, right?” (pilatesandrea.com/on-the-or...

.

As always, if you need to warm-up, do at least The Hundred, maybe all of the previous 23 exercises. Then repeat this exercise 10 times.

Follow Joe’s instructions from the excerpt from Return to Life. And make sure to modify to ensure your body gets what you need today.

Instructions from Online Pilates Classes – with suggestions on how to make the exercise easier starting at about 01:50:

Tried these after swan-dive (day 12) as it looked like it would fit, and it allowed me to jump to today’s exercise.

I’ve been severely lagging behind due to life doing what it’s so good at and getting in the way of living a bit! 😏

The prep exercises really help.

I did this at the studio during a private yesterday - under the watchful eye of a Pilates teacher. We both ended up laughing because I just couldn't get my legs off the Mat more than a centimeter or so. My hips are tight!

So, I decided that opening my hips will be one thing I'll be working on during my April quest... We'll see how I ended up Swimming at the end of the month!
