Hi, I've already started to improve my fitness but need to do more. I've a few problems: mild to moderate arthritis in knees, hips and lower back. In my left knee I also have a badly torn cartilage and I am trying to strengthen my leg muscles to help me cope with that better. It's never going to go away but I can do a lot to help manage it.

Apart from getting fitter, I know if I lose weight I can help my joints an awful lot. My target is to lose about 3 stone, which I know I can do as I managed to do this a few years ago but for one reason and another I have put it all back on again!

I go to aqua-aerobics twice a week, which I really enjoy and I've recently signed up to a 10,000 steps per day challenge for charity.

Sounds like you have some really good plans there and maybe all you need is support. You've come to the right place here. We are a newish forum so a bit quieter than some of the others but that doesn't mean there is no support. Please keep us updated on how you are doing.
