Nocturnal blood pressure

Hi All,

I am struggling to work out whether there is a point at which low nocturnal blood pressure becomes unsafe.

I have ncs.

I am a side sleeper and wake every night with queasy stomach and struggling to breathe normally and quickening pulse .

My bp is around 79 over 45 whereas on my back it is 100 over 60.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

You do not say why you are monitoring your blood pressure whilst sleeping. If your doctor has asked you to do this, then you should discuss these figures with him. Some people need to sit on the edge of the bed and get up slowly when first getting up as their blood pressure is low for the first few minutes and this will help stop them fainting.
