is being lonely bad for my health?

I remember moving to a new city and it took a few months to make new friends. I joined a group doing quiz nights near my home. After the first one I got home feeling completely different - my mood was up and I was energized. The strange thing is that I did not realize I was even down, it had just sort of crept up on me.

Social contact really gives you a boost and known to have lots of benefits for your health, one of the reasons we encourage things like walking groups and bingo nights.

And of course there is the Start Moving community right here!

Have a great weekend everyone :-)

I've been there newjourney - at times not realizing that I was down. Much of my social contact is on WhatsApp and phone, which too is great. But there's nothing like meeting friends or going to an event. Even if its for a short while, its stimulating. And yes, this community is so wonderful to visit regularly.
