Very depressed and frustrated car accident 4 car collision young girl was texting she apologized, thank good we are all alive. My knees have been awful since and both knees dr want to do surgery I say NO!!! How can I one day go to the park walk and run a year later I can barely walk I just cry and cry no cartilage but how I never had a problem. I can’t even walk in the mall my feet stiff in up and I hurt so bad on my knees. Sorry to vent but found this on Facebook and it’s like a blessing g PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME ANYTHING POSITIVE. Even my husband now won’t go out with me cause I always hurt so he says just stay home.

Darlene, I see your first message now. So very sorry to read about your accident and your knee pain. If you have no cartilage left in your knee, then sometimes (I know you don't want to hear this but it is true) surgery is the right decision. Have you gotten another opinion? Always good to get another perspective....and trying to get better without surgery is of course the goal (movement, strengthening your muscles in you legs---this can be difficult when you have a lot of pain)...but sometimes surgery is a good path..Mary
