I am off to the hospital tomorrow to have the ulcer on my ankle dressed. Has anyone else experienced having one, and what did you do for the pain, which seems to go on for ever, worse at night.
hope that you are all ready for the cold that 's on it's way.
best wishes to all fellow sufferers

Hi Patsy, I only get ulcers on the tips of my fingers and they are very painful - I take a mixture of Codiene (not everyone can take) and paracetamol or Tramadol. But I dont like the tramadol too much so try and stick to the others. Unfortunately, it does not take away the pain and throbbing but dulls it a bit - but the only thing I find is that I always catch it, knock it etc and the paid sears through me. Good luck and keep warm xx
I have not heard of a Raynaud's ulcer on the ankle. Is it Raynaud's? Are you on any treatment for it apart from dressing? Do you get Nifenipine and Iloprost?
Ewww ! Nifedipine made me really dizzy and Iloprost blew my head to the extent that I have promised myself I will NEVER put myself through that again ! Viagra also blew my head and gave me nose bleeds !
you are very lucky to respond ok to these meds ! Im under house arrest dressed as an eskimo whilst waiting on another application for Bosentan which did help after a 6month treatment dose !
Ah poor you Patsy ! I have ulcers also and the ongoing pain is torture ! I get them on my fingers and toes as well as Ive had them on my elbows and knees. I have one at the moment on my left knee which has been there most of this year ! However, somebody introduced me to PawPaw Creme about a month ago, and I can not believe the results !
Ammmmazing ! The ulcer on my knee has nearly gone after griefing me out for nearly a year, and one on my finger which has been there for a few years is slowly healing. I even posted a before and after photo on McArthur's Natural Products facebook site to show the dramatic results I have had from using the PawPaw creme - which after years of trying different medications with little success I feel like jumping from the roof tops (as if I could, Scleroderma has put the stops on that lol ).
The creme is only available in Australia but you can order it from makeuwell.com.au . Some of the other before and after photo testimonies on the fb site are unbelieveable - there is one of a big ulcer on somebodys ankle which after using the creme the photo shows the skin to have almost healed ! I really hope that if you get some, it will work for you also
