I also can't take medication for Raynauds due to severe side effects. You could go down the natural route by taking ginger root capsules 2000mg - 4000mg daily, GLA which is found in starflower and omega 3 fish oils, 320mg daily and Gingko Biloba up to 240mg daily. This is what I was advised at the Royal Free Hospital to take. It is quite an expensive treatment though, but is certainly beneficial, you will have to check with your doctor first though . I hope this helps. Good luck and stay warm for the winter.
I know the feeling, I am constantly in pain, but last Friday was particularly bad. Dreading the cold weather. Medication from the Pain Clinic made me very ill. Went back yesterday and now prescribed Codeine Phosphate 30mg. Will have to see how that affects me.
My raynauds is secondary to Scleroderma & I have tried also sorts of medication but the one that does help is Liquid Prozac, one of its side effects is to open up blood vessels. My consultant told me to try it after having Iloprost & that not really working for me. My fingertips are already painful & are beginning to blister so its not a good start for the winter.
Iloprost ????? what s that
have you tried "NIFEDIPINE?
