I have scleroderma for past 12 + years and been on mycophenolate for 10 years for lung fibrosis
I have now been diagnosed with PMR and in chronic pain doctors not sure about prescribing steroids which would get rid of pain because I’m on mycophenolate. I also have Atrial fibrillation
Any advice would be so welcome. I can’t stand this pain for much longer

Sorry you are suffering. If steroids are thought too risky, and they are for some with scleroderma I believe, then perhaps they could add another dmard treatment such as Methotrexate? I have a friend with MCTD and PMR - already on mycophenolate and long term steroids - so her rheumatologist has added methotrexate injections. Too soon to know if it’s helping her but fingers crossed 🤞🏻
