You need to go back to your doctor and let them know how it's affecting your life and also ask them to refer you to a rheumatologist. Hope you get what you need 🙂

My doctor prescibed nefedipine. It helps but doesn't completely stop it. However, yours sounds like mine as when mine was at it's worst one of my hands swelled up and there were a lot of things that I couldn't do. Because of that I have been referred to a rheumatolgist but if you're in the UK don't hold your breath for an appointment.

So sorry to hear you are struggling. It is so debilitating when your hands don’t work how you want them to.

I was given nefedipine many years ago but it didn’t agree with me. I’ve just had a bad case of very swollen fingers and infected finger ulcers which made using my hands impossible for the simplest of tasks.

I have invested in a heated gilet to keep my core body temperature warm which has been wonderful. I wear gloves constantly inside and outside the house. I’ve bought little heated hand warmers for the microwave but they don’t stay warm for very long. I’m thinking of getting some heated gloves. There are gadgets etc to help with opening things in the kitchen.

I hope your hands feel better soon and you are able to see a Rheumatologist.

please talk to your rheumatologist, there are treatments to help. Sildenafil (viagra) taken as an oral pill, infusion of flolan or iloprost. These are vasco dilators that open up the blood vessels to aid circulation.

Best wishes
