I have recently been diagnosed with atrial flutter and been out on apixiban to prevent blood clots, due to have a cardio conversion.

Can anyone tell me if they have experienced of this.

I have lung fibrosis and Scleroderma with Reynaldo so feeling overwhelmed by yet another thing to take on. Any thoughts here.

Could be in same boat as you? Getting weird heart beat at night bit like the little wheel in a clock that keeps time like a double click sort of thing.

Have Raynauds and could be something like Limited but won't get into see Royal free till next year as got put off got a year!

Have lung issues as have clots in them also.

So sorry to hear of your added problems. It's very worrying when these extra symptoms occur.I've had strange palpitations for a while which seemed to go down the centre of my chest.

My consultant was very thorough & arranged for me to have a heart monitor to check on any issues.

I have slight atrial flutters & I know from previous examinations I have a leaky valve caused by systemic sclerosis

It's so hard to relax when you're told your heart is not as strong as before.

Strangely I found using three cushions at night helped to reduce the very loud palpitations.

I do breathing exercises to try & reduce the problem.

I have recently joined a leisure centre & go swimming in quiet sessions twice a week.

This exercise also seems to help, though I'm not able to do freestyle as yet as this affects my breathing too much. Hopefully further down the line it may get easier.

I know my palpitations are not as strong but also maybe my anxiety is reduced too which really helps in fighting this disease.

The problem for us all is we don't know what's around the corner for us individually. Living and accepting this concept can be very difficult at times.

Stay strong & keep fighting.

Xxx

I have similar problems, racing heart n fluttering def worse after taking raynauds medication. Just waiting on MRI to rule out myocarditis. I have lung disease too but no clotting. Ivabradine/procraclan has helped slow down heart but still have the thudding etc. It was prescribed by cardiologist I went to see privately. It can be used for PAH so I feel better for taking it thinking it’s maybe helping to prevent that. Like you I felt like - what next. We have so much to deal with already. Take care n good luck. Check out or maybe ask about possibility of ivabradine.
