Iโm terrible with numbers too. However itโs all looking within normal range to me - according to the lab ranges down the right hand side margin anyway. Usually mine say โHIโ when elevated. It took me ages to work out that it wasnโt a friendly โHIโ!
Not sure if this will be good news to you or not? Sometimes we want our bloods to reflect the way we are feeling when we feel lousy so itโs frustrating when they donโt. But yours are all within range as far as I can tell.
My e-GFR just says gt60 where it used to say gt90 so I think this is stage 2 kidney disease - but no one seems remotely concerned - although I also have blood in my pee. Doctors have explained that itโs under 60 they are concerned over.
Hi missymoo

All of your renal tests are within normal range.
The GFR comment means it is stage 2 kidney disease if preexisting kidney disease exists otherwise it is at the high end of normal. Also if you are African American those results have to be calculated differently.
Are you seeing anyone for kidney disease if not you should. In the meantime you can help your kidneys by cutting way back on eating salty things. Bread contains a lot of salt and most canned foods.
I wish the best health outcome for you
Take care.

Hi, my husband gets loads of results on the Patient System every time they do any tests and they look so confusing and the values go up and down and it gets worrying. What he does is speak to one of the many nurses who look after him. The nurses are always happy to help and after a few tests you get a better understanding and things begin to make sense. If you have a phone number for your specialist's secretary or a particular nurse I would give them a call and just explain your concerns. Hopefully they will be as good as my husbands and you will find someone who can help you when the results change and explain it all too you. One good thing we have found is that the Nurses are always very happy to help. I used to think they will feel I'm being a nuisance but they have never made us feel that way. So I suggest get in touch with your medical team for help and I'm sure they will be very helpful. N
im stage 1 CKD and this is what l understand:
In stage 1 and stage 2 nothing is done because the Kidneys have the capacity to cope, although there are things that the individual can do to stop things reaching stage 3. These are mainly diet based.
Hi there, your results are the numbers listed in the middle. The numbers on the right are the normal range they are comparing your results with. They are all within normal range. The eGFR is very slightly down, but nothing to worry about.
All my best

Thank you everyone, really appreciate your responses ๐ xx
