Erythromelalgia
Hi, is this not all part of the symptoms of your condition? Have you been prescribed anything to help with the burning, itching etc?
Also, you should have been tested for other autoimmune diseases & faulty genes etc.
Maybe keep a food diary to see if anything in particular is triggering onset of symptoms, keep very hydrated as water will flush out any toxins in your body. There is a lot of information on the internet regarding diet, herbal remedies etc that may help you.
Good luck
Thanks Connie 75 about keeping a diary to see if certain foods set it off.having a shower can bring me out in a rash, but not like this.going to make appointment at the doctors. but thanks for your help.
Hello again carol ann. This sounds nasty. As you know, I too live with simultaneous raynauds & erythromelalgia. And my primary is systemic lupus. Whenever I have any kind of rash I take photos of it close up and if the rash lasts for more than a few days, I show it to a GP. The last time I had a rash lasting more than a few days, my GP added the topical steroid cream betnovate to my repeat prescription list...that time the burning prickling rashes were diagnosed as 'vascular' and cleared up within a week or so thanks to betnovate. So, if I were you, I'd be going to see a GP. Wishing you all the v best
Hi Barnclown nice too hear from you again.will take photo's down to GP when i get appointment. Its itching and burning with the rash all the time, but worse at night or have a shower.been using cooling gel .also used corticosteroid ointment.thanks again, let you know how it goes.
I take prrgabalin and that seems to help at night. Keeping my feet cool during the day helps too. Good luck Ax
Hi tried pregabalin and something similar, but didn't see much improvement. But because i suffer from the two conditions ,its very changeable the night is very long don't like taking sleeping tablets all the time, but a gel pillow or hot water bottle with cold water in it helps when the erythromelalgia is mild.thanks again AMDP take care.
