Dare I ask why they would draw on your hands or arms? Pen, felt tip?

Anything, biro, felt tip, even pencil. And they just grab your arm and start drawing, i have told them in the past no, but they still do. I try to pull away aswell but that just makes them draw further up my arm....
Ask to be referred to a Dermatologist. Also am I presuming this would be at college/uni?

ok thanks, and sorry i must have given quite a strong impression, im only in my third year of high school!! haha
anything, from pencil, biro to felt tip......
Pencils? O.o It sounds like you have sensitive skin, try drawing a ruler across your arm or something that doesn't have ink/graphite. It's likely to nothing but your skin reacting oddly to pressure. Try and get a picture of it as that would help identify it.
Think about what happens when you get a bump on the head or something, a lot of swelling for what appears to be no reason, but cells have been damaged and your body is trying to repair them. It is 'possible' that your cells are fragile. Raynaud's all you have? (This is not a symptom of either Raynauds nor Scleroderma by the way).
This can be a form of urticaria, meaning you are in a sensitive allergic state. I think it is called scripto dermatitis,or something similar, it is characterised by a slight red swelling coming up on the skin from gently running the back of a finger nail across the skin, enabling you to "write" on your skin without a pen. I used to have this as a child and it comes back sometimes if I suffer badly from hayfever. It was very useful as I could tap gently on my arms and create a rash so I could be sent home from school!
hi, yes, even a nail causes it, but sometimes its painful, sometimes it isnt. ok, that sounds interesting, ill look into it thanks.
Hi, I get this, EmJB is correct it's a form of urticaria called dermographism, it sounds like what I have, I also have chronic refractory urticaria and pressure and delayed pressure urticaria, pressure type urticaria's are usually harder to treat than allergic ones, but your GP should precribe some antihistamines to try, there are loads of dffierent types and I have worked through them all. I have Raynauds too but I dont think they are connected. x
sorry, but what is delayed pressure urticaria? thanks! x

Delayed Pressure would mean, that you can cause pressure but you won't see an effect for five minutes. Much like that Pokemon episode where the Slowpoke didn't react for ages after it's tail was bitten. (It's an old original episode sue me).
My brain's a bit like the Slowpoke when I get what was called 'cognitive fog' when I was first diagnosed (was Raynauds and mixed connective, now limited scleroderma) . Occasionally it's so bad I can't work out the simplest things. Anyone else experience this and do you know what it is called now - am sure they changed the name of it.
Thanks
Hi, Delayed pressure urticaria can appear up to 6 hours after pressure has been applied to an area, my particular problems come with shoes, so I can have shoes on and be walking fine then when I stop and take them off my feet will swell, get really hot and exceptionally itcy and painful, pressure can also come with things like bra straps belts, waistbands, even things like typing if my arms have been resting on the table. Trying to get shoes that dont press anywhere is a nightmare, so i tend to get EEE width fitting shoes to try to help. There is no way I can wear any shoes with heels as the pressure then comes on heels and balls of feet and they swell, so I live in trainers x
