Has your Raynaud's improved with age?

I can most definitely say my Raynaud's has improved with age. I first experienced symptoms at the age of sixteen and the gradually got worse until the age of 21/22, since then they have got better and better and I hardly notice it all at the moment as I can't remember the last time I had an attack. I do still however suffer with very cold hands and feet (regardless of the weather).

No, mine is getting worse, started in my teens but have been experiencing more attacks and discomfort in my 30's. Not sure whether this is due to health reasons or the increasingly cold winters (and lack of a proper summer) that we seem to be having!

Yes and no! My hands are not as badly affected as they used to be; but my feet are worse. I have bad memories of trying to grip a hockey stick at school and not being allowed to wear gloves or even a track suit, even though my fingers were white and I kept dropping the stick!! Thankfully I dont have to do things like that now so maybe I feel as though my hands are better because I dont have to expose them as much as I had to when I was younger. Menopause is weird - I get hot flushes in my body but my feet stay cold.

If you had asked me that question three or four years ago, I would have told you that the condition had remained stable for many years with sporadic episodes once or twice a week in the coldest periods of winter. All that has changed now, and since the beginning of last winter I have had episodes several times a day, every day. I am eagerly waiting for late spring and summer to see if and how the situation will normalise. By normality, I guess I mean no more episodes of Raynaud’s for days, weeks or, dare I hope, months.

I don't think it has improved with age, i have just become better at managing it therefore avoiding too many attacks. I take nifedipine in the winter which reduces the severity of the attacks. I ride a bike and in December of last year i had a few bad days. I wear gloves at home and two or three gloves outside along with heating aids to prevent an attack, my feet can stay cold all day.

Yes, it gets worse with age. I am now 81. Looking back I think that I always had Raynaud's. It starting bad about 30 years ago. I now have to have Iloprost every five weeks in the winter and the ulcers take a long time to heal.
