Cramp
Hi buryboy. I get cramp in toes, not often. Even more rare my fingers. I'm not if it's related Raynaud's or not.
Have you tried eating a banana, to increase your potassium levels?
I also have stage 4 going onto stage 5 kidney failure so I have to stay of bananas
Hi, I have really bad cramp in my toes, feet, hands and occasionally calves, doctor prescribed quinine tablets but I couldnt take them as I got really bad side effects from them, I asked if there was anything else I could take but there wasnt anything. If you are to take and tolerate quinine they do work.
Hi,mi don't often get cramp in my ties but get it in my feet several times a wk, swimming is a definite no no for me with cramp, happens every time..
Sorry about predictive text, my ipad is just taking over today.. lol.
I had to stop swimming because of the cramp. Last night I was in agony my big toe was suck out and the pain was shooting up my calf. I also get pins and needles after walking for about 10 mins
I think cramp is all part of the package I'm afraid! I have it to in my toes, feet and calves. Very unpleasant isn't it? I am going to try and exercise a bit more. I bought an exercise bike that you use when you are sitting down. You peddle your arms and legs and it gets the circulation going, My toes are numb most of the time and I've noticed it's kind of moving up the side of my feet as well, so I am doing all I can to help circulation. Trying to give up smoking!!! It's the hardest thing especially when you live alone. I'm new to England, so don't have many friends yet. Thank God for this site where I can chat to all of you. Also, if you take Ginkgo, cinnamon and ginger every day in warm water it should help with the circulation. Weekends are the pits! But hey! Thanks for the chat. Hope you find ways to cope as we all have to and have a good day all of you! Love this family!
Hi - Im the same as nettie; toes, feet and calves get affected with cramp. and I can often wake in the night with it in my calves. I havent found the magical solution to this one yet ! I used to be able to go to the gym pre-diagnosis, and after about 10 seconds on the runner post diagnosis I would be in agony with cramp in my legs. So wow nettie I am so envious you can get on your bike !
I am grounded this weekend thanks to my knee demanding attention ! So I have got my tunes on, ready for The Voice and Dance anthems later ! I hope you do some stuff that makes you feel good this weekend nettie ! even if its just hanging out with us all here !
I am also partial to a little nicotine hit.... Ive managed to knock the alcohol on the head and feel so much better for not putting that stuff in my body, but the fags.... I have been doing some breathing exercises for meditation and I am hoping to cut them out using a bit of mind trickery ! its not worked yet though ! however, i am on week 19 of juicing and cutting carbs and dairy out of my diet and I never thought that would happen - so I havent given up on myself yet ! Happy weekend everyone, Living the dream x
Maybe try tonic water? For quinine - you could always add gin or vodka to make it more appealing!
Hi living-the-dream! I visited my daughter and grandchildren yesterday for a bit and had dinner with a friend. She is an alcoholic but she doesn't know it. Hey man, I tried hard over the years to become one, but it did nothing for me and how grateful I am! It's bad enough being addicted to these little cancer sticks! I've tried everything so far, no I reckon the only thing left to do is use my will power, of which I seem to have none at the moment! But I will keep trying! maybe I'll try juicing , cutting carbs and dairy and see what that does for me as well. No, we never give up on ourselves, that's for sure! You enjoy the rest of your day.
