Temazepan or OTC sleep aid?

Hey everyone. Last three nights I slept three hours yet I don't feel sleepy in the morning which is concerning. I do have anxiety and panic disorder but I'm not sure if my sleep problem triggered it this time or of my disorder triggered insomnia.

I have Temazepan prescription but scared to use it. Even though I've used it for one night 5 years ago. My anxiety symptoms were severe back then so I assumed any additional side effects of Temazepan wouldn't be noticeable. But this time I don't have many anxiety symptoms so I'm scared to try it especially after reading the side effects.

Should I try an OTC first?

I've tried melatonin and it doesn't help

Neither does veleran root

If they work they don't keep me asleep long enough

Hi i know Temazepan is a good med ? but can be addictive , saying that i'm on Zopiclone 7.5 for sleep , has your Family Dr give you the Script , if so he/she will monitor you on the med , you could take one every other night see how you get along , take care

Hi there and thank you for replying. My GP gave me the script over a month ago but I've been trying to turn to it as a last resort. Considering my lack of sleep the last three days I feel I'm I've hit that point tho. I just want one night of full sleep. Just want personal experience stories between prescription sleep aids and over the counter.

Hi and sympathies. I find Bach night rescue (alcohol free) spray helps ...can be get by bed and if necessary topped up if one wakens in night
