Do you use a computer much? If so, you should definitely invest in an anti-glare filter to place over your screen.

My dry eye has improved a lot since I did this, although I didn't quite find the right sized filter and ended up with a square one instead of widescreen. Te trick is to measure the diagonal. These filters are supposed to block about 95% of UV radiation from the monitor, so it's well worth it. The bummer is that they're not easy to find in stores, so you have to order online.

That's a great idea, I didn't realise it would block the UV radiation too! Thank you.

I've also found found turning the brightness of the screen down helps a lot with eye strain (which in turn aggravates dry eyes).

On my Toshiba Laptop holding the FN key down and hitting F6 and F7 alters the brightness.

Hi Marnie I have the same laptop & have tried what you said. I'm tired so not sure if it worked. Try again tomorrow when awake mentally ( hopefully ). I didn't know you could get filters so I've learnt somethng already. Hope you are well Xxx

Yeah I do that too, and as well as the filter, I wear my wrap around sunglasses. I have to remind myself to blink regularly so as not to gaze. Much improvement. I think a lot of laptops these days have anti-glare screens, so that's something to look out for if purchasing. For regular monitors (and TV screens) it doesn't seem to be as popular, so you have to buy a filter. Come to think of it, anyone who watches TV a bit should seriously consider ordering one to fit their screen.
