Hi I am also undiagnosed yet but have had similar symptoms. The GP or chemists should be able to supply you with some dry mouth wash / gel or pastilles if you ask.. I have also used Daktarin (?) in Uk for what may be oral thrush. Good luck and hope you feel better soon

Ya, it looks like an overgrowth of something. I have mouth sores more like Burning Mouth. I will send you the homeopathic tablets I use to calm it down if you wish.

Those swollen papillae at the edges look unusual but I'm not a Dr. Does it hurt?

Mayo Clinic says of White Tongue: Make an appointment with your doctor or dentist if:

You're concerned about changes in your tongue

Your tongue hurts

Your white tongue persists for longer than a few weeks.

Have you tried gently brushing your tongue with a toothbrush? Also have water nearby so you can take sips regularly. Maybe an antibacterial mouthwash?

On the occasions that I have had those ridges on the side of my tongue it has been caused by teeth impressions because my tongue has become swollen.

Mine used to get like that, autoimmune disease can do all kinds of crazy things to your body. And I have found that many times the doctors get really confused and they don't know if it's the auto immune condition or an actual illness causing your problems. There's a lot of information that would be helpful to you if you want to check out my information page on Facebook. It's called The Truth About Lupus and Autoimmune Disease. It's got 30 years of information I have collected, and I'm always adding to it with the latest stuff that comes out about auto immune disease. I will give you a clue, if they tested you for Michael plasma infection, I can almost guarantee you will be positive for more than one strain. That is at the root of almost all auto immune disorders. It isn't necessarily the cause, but it is the trigger that makes them flare up. Look for the book titled The New Arthritis Breakthrough, by Henry Scammell, it will greatly empower you with knowledge.

Biotene do a mouthwash, gel and toothpaste. The products have a good taste and especially for dry mouth. The gel may help during night/day. Even though I’m only just wondering I’ve used these for months as it helps with CPAP
