Is unintentional weight loss a normal symptom of Sjogrens?

Yes, I m like to know this too. I’m SLE diagnosed but have recently had Sjorgen symptoms. This includes dramatic weight loss (not helped by a stressful time and loss I’d appetite)

Hi Pyxie, It's interesting that you bring that up because I have lost weight unintentionally and was worried about something being very wrong. I am under investigation for Sjogren's so I wonder if this weight loss could be one of the symptoms? Along with dry eyes, I have peripheral neuropathy, dry mouth, heart burn and migraines.

I too have bouts when I lose a lot of weight, but it comes and goes . I’m under a dietician for bowel problems following surgery, she has told me I may need to have a review of my diet if it keeps going til I next see her. I wasn’t skinny before, but if it keeps going for months, could be a problem. Never thought of a link, but seems I am not alone
