Morning pain and fatigue.

Curious how many of you are tired and sore when getting out of bed in the morning? I personally feel like rest and recovery is not happening. Have any of you found something that helps with energy levels in the morning? I do take low dose thyroid in the morning. Doesn't do much.

Yeah I feel the same and I have low thyroid, I take 75mg of thyroxine tables and pain killers, I can't do my house work or even grocery shopping, I will be hurting. It's hard for me to get any kind of emotional feelings I'll get dizzy and headache and also I can't concentrate. I hope you find some relief if you do, let me know.

It's all about learning to pace. For me this has included learning as much as possible about Sjögren's- which in my case was diagnosed for five years as RA so I got used to the reality of morning stiffness and pain with that.

However I don't have actual RA and I find with Sjögren's the best thing is to note the hours where I'm most awake and alert and try to make sure that I get enough sleep at night. The last one is my biggest problem but also, as Sjögren's affects me body wide, eating at the right times and the right foods to sustain me. I have to plan in toilet stops too in case the daily lactulose and Senna start to take effect.

Using my heat pads for 15 minutes to help my Meibonian Gland Disease is built into my daily new regime and is a good excuse for enforced lie down. Massaging them after helps even more as I'm using plenty of eye drops so feel quite refreshed after this. If I know I've got a gruelling day ahead I'll be extra quiet the previous day and maybe take a sleeping pill (one a week) that night.

My new immunesuppressant , Mycophenolate, isn't doing much yet I don't think - but then again maybe I'll be flaring badly now if I wasn't on it so hard to say.

This is quite old now but applies to all those with chronic diseases and conditions so might help if you haven't read it already: butyoudontlooksick.com/arti...
