I feel that no one understands my need to wear diapers and what I deal with everyday. I try to do what I can to help my slef out, but find there are a lot of opticals in my way. I try to get SSD and I get deine. As for Medicaid I lost what I use to get.i will be getting straight Medicaid in which nothing is covered in NY. Accepted for the basics stuff like check ups and some meds. I don't know if they will cover diapers I can't afford to pay for them myself .

Medicaid may cover some of your incontinence supplies. Be sure to ask! They may limit the amount and you may only be able to purchase them from one or two suppliers, but I do believe that something is better than nothing. Each State has their own rules and suppliers, and so it is really tough to know what each State will provide. So be sure to ask questions! Salvation Army, a local food bank, or other agencies may be able to help locate low cost or free products.

When you live NY Medicaid only allows for the basics stlye of adult diapers. I did talk to a nurse my doctor office and my Medicaid cdphp that is my insurance nurse told me if I needed more absorbents diapers I would have to buy them out pocket. I will just have to deal with it. Thanks for your help.

You might be able to use what is called a booster pad inside these less that great products to give you the absorbency you truly need. But that too would be out-of-pocket. :-(

Theere are many varieties of incontinence products with big differences in price. An experienced nurse might be able to advise you on what you need and low cost products that will be suitable for you.
