Hi everyone,

I'm Barry in Birmingham UK. I broke my neck at C4/5 in 2013 a few weeks before I was due to retire. Double incontinence is really only the third most significant health problem for me. The first two are almost complete paralysis and loss of sensation below my chest, including very little use of my hands, and spasms. These cause a great deal of discomfort day and night and keep me housebound.

My reason for joining the Simon Foundation is that I found a way of preventing catheter blockages which has worked for me and I hope for some others.

How can one manage alone with double IC being paralyzed?

Suprapubic catheter with leg bag emptied three times per day by carers. Bowel evacuations on alternate mornings by nurses.

What's your experience with sex being in adult briefs all or most of the time.? How have you met people who are accepting? How has being IC arrested your sexual development. And is any one partially impotent as a result of being IC or ED.?

My social life is almost non-existent. I am confined to a part of my house. I get visitors most days.
