I actually disagree with this sickle cell trait is mainly treated as normal because the body is not in overdrive like someone with sickle cell aneamia, in Chantel I tell her to go to her GP and ask them to perform a urine and kidney function test, also being a women during menstrual the bladder becomes full quite often,

A urine analysis and a liver function will determine what going on . Not saying people with sickle cell trait exhibit pain - but most pain can related to arthritic pain in the joints - Chantel please visit the doctor

Excessive urination also called polyuria is more prevalent in those with sickle cell disease because of the inability of the kidneys to concentrate urine. It is also one of the signs of diabetes. However, there are multiple renal manifestations that affect those with sickle cell trait including a rare form of cancer. I suggest that you see your doctor to rule out whether or not this is sickle cell related or something else.

Contrary to what we have been told for years, people with sickle cell trait, under certain conditions, can manifest ailments and disease related to having the sickle cell trait.
