Stage 3b Ovarian Diagnosis

Hello. New to this forum. Diagnosed 10/2020 with stage 3 B ovarian cancer. Went through chemo - taxol/ carbo for 7 cycles. CA 125 continually dropped. Had major debulking in February 2021 followed by 3 rounds of chemo.

Cat Scan in May showed no cancer. Been on Zejula since May 40 th. CA125 continually climbing about 17 points each week for the last 3 weeks. Any one having the same problem.

No I haven’t but I’m scheduled to start zejula in two weeks and was wondering how you are tolerating the meds n there side effects

I’m on 200 mg /day and have no problems. Make sure to take a stool softener because it does cause constipation. Also I was supposed to be on 300 mg: day but I read that Zejula dosage is based on weight so I mentioned this to my Oncologist and that’s when he reduced the dosage. Under 170 lbs/2 mgs/ day. Over 170 lbs / 3 mgs day.

I am not in your situation, however, several women in my online support circle have mentioned that when they were first put on a maintenance medication, their CA125 numbers did go up initially, but then leveled off and began to decline again as time went on. Perhaps that's something you can mention to your doctor?

Thank you for the info. I’ve heard the same thing but I’m just a worrier. I live in the Wash DC area and am so fortunate with the health care available.

Were you diagnosed as Braca 1 or 2 or no mutations???
