HELLO THERE ALL. JUST WRAPPING UP MY SECOND SIX WEEKS OF CHEMO FOR STAGE 3 OVARION CANCER. MY TUMORS WERE INOPERATABLE BECAUSE OF LOCATION. THEY ARE SHRINKING AND ARE NOW AT 18 WITH TWO MORE WEEKS TO GO. MY DOCTOR WANTS TO PUT ME ON A PARB INHIBITOR NEXT, QUESTION IS WHAT KIND OF RESULTS ARE YOU HAVING WITH THIS TREATMENT.

I was on Rubraca and it didn't do much. Just gave me the pleasant side effect of nausea. They say it gets better as time goes on, but it took a bit for me. Didn't stay on it for more then 6 months id say...

Just do research on which ones they are suggesting....good luck

:-) Michelle

My doctor is recommending Rubraca and Avastin as maintenance. I am BRCA neg. Did you have a recurrence in six months on Rubraca?

I finished chemo in September, 2019. I've been on Lynparza ever since. I was initially put on 300 mg twice a day but because of side affects was lowered to 200mg twice a day. So far all my numbers have been good and my CT scans clear. I get CT scans every three months and blood work monthly. Side affects have been slight nausea, fatigue, muscle aches and thinning hair. Not sure if some is due to just aging (68) and chemo. None of it keeps my from my daily activities including working out. Hope this helps. If you do have uncomfortable side affects, don't hesitate to have you doctor adjust the dose. It shouldn't affect the results.

I have been on Zejula for 9 months, 200mg , 2 pills daily . I was put on them 7 months after my last chemo and so far, so good. My labs are good and my CA 125 is now a 4. I dont seem to have any side effects. Since I was put on them before any recurrence,I can't say if they are helping with keeping me good or would I be like this if I had not taken them at all? Don't know but my doctor said taking them would keep things at bay and since he should know what is best, I decided to take them.

Hi all.I'm coming to the end of 18 weeks of chemo after a recurrence in Dec of 2020. I'm doing a lot of reading on follow up maintenance therapies. Is Zejula available to patients in the Republic of Ireland?. Is anyone on it at the moment?
