I just made it to 3yrs cancer free.my 125 is consistently rising 9 mths.dr has me go for cat scan,blood work every 3 mths.i just got my results back right before virus spread.cat scan is good again.but my ca125 is 105 now! My dr said its BREWING 😭

I am in a similar situation. Just over two and a half years clear and my CA125 is going up too. I am waiting for scan results, but have concerns that due to my age, and the current pandemic, I won't be offered treatment.

If it is “brewing” I’m surprised your doc is not putting you on an oral. Probably needs to see something on a scan. Did you have a pet scan?

No pet scan.i was almost to once a tr check up.ca started jumping 20 pts at a time.we thought since scan showed clean.we would cobtinue to monitor.i did get pneumonia after one of my scans which would cause ca to increase.but the bext 3 mths i was feeling fine and jumped 20 more pts but scans are clear

I'm so sorry. Know there are new drugs out there that didn't exist three years ago that worked for me. The oral pills plus Avastin are effective and easy and work. I was on Lynparza. A possibility

I was you 2 years ago. For me it was definitely back and it was too spread out for surgery again so I went on Lymparza and have been great. My Ca125 has stayed below 10 and the side effects after a few months are minimal.

Because of this virus my appt.was cancelled. 3 mths again another cat scan and lab....but im into the 3 didget range "105" now but still nothing on cat scan?

You may want to request a PET scan instead. Sometimes they are not covered by insurance so your doctor may have to fight for it. It is more accurate.

Numbers don’t count. CT determines treatment. The stress of what is happening could account for rise. I’m on Zejula and my counts are high. Try not to worry. Hard to do. In my prayers.

Hi, I was also placed on Zejula after my 3rd round of chemo was intolerable. I have been taking this drug for 3 weeks now, wondering what is your experience.

I have been lucky. On 300 m my blood dropped. On 200 I’m fine. I have been on for 17 months. No side effect even though my CA125 is elevated. He is not worried. It is a miracle drug for ovarian according to the Mayo Clinic. Good luck . In my prAyers.

Same thing was happening with me, first really slow rise and my doc at UofC -Maroney (supposedly) the best place in the Midwest. Told me just wait -months. These things happen....need more info. Let’s wait for a couple doubles. Had symptoms...he said it was hernia. DONT listen. All he wanted was for me was to continue on a clinical study.... by the time he did see me he told me my cancer had progressed so fast and I had 2-4 months to live. Go see another doc. The story has way more things he messed up on....I wanted to believe and trust in him he does only gyneonc cases because I love life and my family. Don’t let it grow.....find someone to help you now. I have been in bed for over 2 months, I can’t eat -just vomit and I’m in so much pain all the time it’s hard to hide from my family. I try to hide it from them so it’s not as painful for them.

Omg this is terrible!i am so sorry to hear this...and scares me about myself.shes suppose to be the best on the east coast.i dont wNt to go on uneccerary chemo if i dont have cancer back buti also dont want to all of a sudden to late to do anything 😢

I’m so sorry for you did you not get everything removed when you originally had the cancer ??

I got everything removed so that I would not get cancer back and I have been free for four years until now Seems like I have bowel cancer now what are the chances and because of the coronavirus I cannot get anything done this is wrong but there is nothing I can do about it

Yes i had everything removed.my dr told me in the beginning ovarian cancer is not curable.when it comes back she said 😲 even though i dont have the organs where this cancer first started she said it will come back starting as a cell and form cancer some where else.it would still be ovarian cancer but in my lungs,bowels or brain

Thanks to my teal sisters and my councilor that i talk to every week.i called my oncologist office.the nurse questioned the same thing.what is the reason for no pet scan(only cat scans) i need to know something...before i hear the words"theres nothing else we can do"
