Hi. Yes, I actually called the chemo pharmacy that dispenses me Lynparza, asking the same question. They said it is not a side effect. But, I think it slowed my hair growth down. Have a good day.

My hair is definitely thinner. My hair was think and curly before chemo. It is still much thinner and straight while other friends who have had chemo hair have grown back thicker and curly.

Thank you for your response love my 3dogs. It's reassuring to know that its not just me whose hair has changed. When I went through chemo the first time my hair grew back within a year. Unfortunately so did the cancer. So maybe it's a good thing the hair isn't growing back so quickly. The Lynparza is doing it's job to slow growth I suppose. Would rather be bald and live to be 100 then be Rapunzel and not.All the best on your journey

Hi, I am on Zejula and my hair growth is slow. I believe that the medication will slow it down. It doesn’t make it fall out however. I know that it’s hard to wait for that growth to start. It’s just not normal, because of the medicine. I just have to stay patient. Good luck, Donna

Thanks for the reply Donna. You're absolutely right about being patient. I'm not bald but I feel bald because my hair was much longer before. I'm learning that I'm not my hair and learning to embrace my new short hair. Short hair can be fun and cute. Sometimes even less maintenance. Best wishes on your journey, Sandra

Olaparib causes severe folate deficiency. This could be one of the reasons for your hair loss and can be easily reversed by supplementing with methyl folate, active form of B9 and easily absorbed. You need to balance it with all other B vitamins by taking a very good B-Complex. Worthy asking your GP to test you ferritin levels, B12, magnesium and vitamin D. If low they can also cause hair loss.
