I had a total hysterectomy and bilateral ovarian cancer. There were several different types of ovarian cancer. I am 2 years 4 months out now. I am still cancer free. But since surgery have had pain where my ovaries were. I really thought they had grown back. My doctor and nurse said most likely it is scar tissue causing pain. They watch my CA 125 and do a pelvic just to make sure I have not had a recurrence.

Yes, on both sides. Am seeing an integrative doc for high dose vitamin c intravenous since it had only been 7 months since I finished chemo. He has been working on clearing up the side effects from chemo, and super charging my immune system.

I had a total hysterectomy last year. OV 1a. I started experiencing pain on the left side where the cancer was. Turned out is was a cyst and doctor stated scar tissue. My ca125 seems to be gradually climbing. It started at 16, 18, 19 and 3 months ago, 21.8. Of course I'm concerned but my Oncologist stated he is not concerned. I go for my 3 month next week.

Is the climbing of the ca125 normal?

Best wishes Cynthia and continue to remain ned.

A CA-125 below 35 is usually no reason to be concerned. Remember that CA-125 is only part of the tool kit your doctor uses to diagnose recurrence. Your doctor will take this number into consideration with other factors. Plus it's not the best indicator for everyone. That's great that they are monitoring you closely. Wishing you the best.

Yes. It was on conjunction with rise in ca125. I am doing chemo again.
