So, my hair started falling out in clumps on day #13 after my first chemo for ovarian cancer. I've been wearing my wig since Tuesday night. That was hard (and weird) but I figure it's a small price to pay on the road to recovery. Speaking of which my CA 125 went from 879 to 568 after only one treatment!! Is that pretty typical or is it an unusual drop? I'm cautiously optimistic. My next treatment is Monday, the 13th, and so far I feel good!

Hi there, mine started 10 days after first treatment. It's still hanging on. I'm being so careful with it and I'm not sure why because it falls everywhere!
My next treatment is next Wednesday. I feel good aside from the fatigue and numbness on my feet. Wishing you a successful treatment.
Yes, your CA drop after one treatment is good. You want to see a 10 fold drop after treatments 3-4. Sounds like you're on an excellent trajectory. 😊
Congrats on the drop in your CA125 number! That is a good sign that you are responding to the chemo. How much we drop from one round to the next can be variable, but a downward trend is great.
Best wishes,
Gwen
