I'm new to group. Thanks for having a wonderful site. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer dec. 6. Since then I went through 4 months of weekly chemo, then the hysterectomy and wash then another 2 months of weekly chemo. I am now on a newly approved oral chemo med called zejula. I started with CA125 of 3,200 now down to 180. How do you know when you're in remission?

Welcome here. I was diagnosed with uterine cancer Jan 2016, but my doctor said it behaved like ovarian. I just came out of remission and starting on Doxil. As far as being in remission, I asked my doctor your question a while ago and, my doctor said being officially in remission would include a scan so they couldn't see any cancer. But just to be clear, I am not really sure and not completely sure I understood him.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the group, just diagnosed Aug 2017, it has been a whirlwind of events since. Next week, I have my 3rd chemo treatment, then a ct scan to decide whether or not more chemo or surgery. I read going vegan helps prolong life.
