ONIONS ‘could stop the spread of deadly ovarian cancer’

Hi everyone, just found this interesting article about the recent research conducted by the Kumamoto University in Japan which discovered that onion contains several anti-ovarian cancer properties.

Have you heard anything about it? Or maybe tried increasing onion intake with your daily diet?

I am bulking up my diet with every cancer fighting vegetable I can find! Onions, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, turnips, green leafy vegetables, kale, dandelion greens. I am also taking a turmeric capsule daily along with my regular vitamin regimen. I'm buying organic. I don't know if it will help, but if there's the slightest chance that it can make a difference, I'm going for it!

Hello There,

I'm on the same diet as well pushing more organic green leaf vegies and drinks. I've even started my own garden which has help me keep my mind off of things. I've notice a great difference in my strength it has also kept my immune system strong that I have not caught a cold or virus. Even though my white cells have been low from my chemo treatments. Our diets plays a very important part along with our life styles. Keep doing what your doing. Wish you the best and remember Only The Strong Will Survive.

Only the Strong Will Survive??? Really? I politely ask you to reconsider that statement as it implies that all our Teal Sisters who have passed before us were just not "strong enough". Ovarian cancer is a relentless beast.

Hello there, I'm sorry you feel that way. But my words still stands. From my own personal journey battling stage 4 ovarian cancer for 4 years. I watch too many of my friends battling different types of cancer give up too soon. They didn't want treatment or under go surgery. Why ? Because of fear of the unknown. There attitude was I'm going to die anyway so I'm going to live my life to the fullest. Its take Strength , Courage, and Faith. to face our fears and put up the good fight. Only God knows when our life will end. I honor all of our women who have passed on from this silent killer. I am with my sister that our fighting for their lives because I am one of them too. I'm fighting like hell everyday. I've made it this far because I am Strong and I am Free From Fear and God is with me always and it is by his Mercy and Grace that I am still here.

I'm with you Fearlessone. Only God knows our future. Congrats on surviving 4 yrs out with stage 4 Oc. Way to go. God definitely has other plans for you. I too am trying to eat more veggies and staying away from sugary food. I started to drink a lot of ginger tea too. I read it helps.
